Mr. Mister

Mr. Mister (years active: 1982-1990) was a pop rock band from Los Angeles that contributed greatly to the emergence of a more melodic brand of commercial pop rock during the 1980s. Following the release of its debut album I Wear the Face, Mr. Mister experienced some line-up changes as a result of its debut poor critical performance, only to come back in full form with the release of its second album Welcome to the Real World, which would cement the band's commercially popular style and earn it a Grammy nomination as well. Following the release of the band's lackluster third album (its fourth wouldn't be released until 2010), Mr. Mister disbanded so that its members could pursue their own projects.
