Franco-Flemish composer Roland de Lassus lived and created music during the Renaissance period, one of the most celebrated composers to come out of Europe during the 16th century. His over 2,000 pieces feature compositions in a myriad of vocal styles in Latin, Italian, French even German. He is considered to be the principal artist in the polyphonic style of music to emerge from the Franco-Flemish school of music.
