Love Like Blood

Love Like Blood was a gothic metal band from Germany that formed in 1989. The band was founded by singer/songwriter Yorck Eysel and his brother and bassist Gunnar Eysel. Love Like Blood's early style was characterized by the dark wave and gothic rock genres, evident on its 1992 breakthrough album, An Irony of Fate. In 1995, the band demonstrated a more aggressive gothic metal approach with its release of Exposure. After nine studio albums, including its 2001 final effort Chronology of a Love Affair, Love Like Blood disbanded, coming together for the last time in 2010 for the twentieth anniversary of Leipzig's Wave-Gotik-Treffen Festival.
