Hidden in Plain View was a pop/punk band that formed in 2000 in Hopatcong, New Jersey. The band was made up of vocalist Joe Reo, guitarist and back-up vocalist Rob Freeman, guitarist Kenny Ryan, bassist Chris Amato and drummer Derek Reilly. After recording a three-track demo, the band got in touch with DAB Records who released Hidden in Plain View's debut EP Find, in 2001. When the band made the switch to Drive-Through Records, Hidden in Plain View embarked on extensive tours of the UK and the US in support of its debut album Life in Dreaming, in 2005. Due to recent lineup changes, the album featured a notably darker and more refined sound. Months before the band's second album Resolution, was released in 2007, the band disbanded due to personal and creative differences. In 2015, during a resurgence in early 2000s pop punk, the band embarked on a 10 year anniversary tour for its debut album and released a new EP titled Animals.
