Isis Naija Gaston was also known as Ice Spice, was born in the Bronx, New York City in 2000. Raised by her grandparents and inspired by hip hop, she attended Sacred Heart High School and SUNY Purchase. Ice Spice left college to pursue music after working as a cashier. She began rapping in 2021 and gained fame with "Bully Freestyle." Gaining major recognition with "Munch (Feelin' U)" in late 2022, she signed with 10K Projects and Capitol Records. Her debut EP Like..? (2023) features hits like "Gangsta Boo" and "Princess Diana." Ice Spice has achieved significant success with multiple top-ten Billboard Hot 100 singles in 2023 and released her debut album Y2K! in 2024.
