The Courteeners, an English band from Middleton, Greater Manchester, were formed in 2006 by childhood friends Liam Fray, Michael Campbell, Daniel Moores, and Mark Cuppello. They quickly gained attention with their debut album St. Jude (2008), reaching number 4 on the UK Albums Chart. The band, known for their anthemic indie rock sound, released several more albums, including Falcon (2010) and More. Again. Forever. (2020), achieving gold status with multiple records. Liam Fray, the band's frontman, writes all their songs, often drawing from personal experiences. Despite lineup changes, with Joe Cross (bass) and Elina Lin (piano) becoming official members in 2024, the Courteeners maintained a strong following. They've headlined major UK festivals and played to sell-out crowds, including multiple shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park. Their music remains a staple of British indie rock, celebrated for its raw energy and relatable lyrics.
