Hitsujibungaku is a Japanese alternative rock band featuring Moeka Shiotsuka, Yurika Kasai, and Hiroa Fukuda. Known for their fusion of shoegaze and indie pop, they gained prominence with their unique sound and impactful performances. Moeka Shiotsuka co-founded the band in 2011 while in high school and balanced her studies at Keio University. Drummer Hiroa Fukuda, who joined in 2015, previously played for Regal Lily. The band’s albums include To the Youth (2018) and Powers (2020). They composed the opening song for the anime The Heike Story in 2021. Their 2022 album Our Hope won the Blue Grand Prix in 2023. In 2024, they released 12 Hugs, took a break with support members, and released singles "Life's a Treat" and "Burning."
