Duane Jarvis

Duane Jarvis was a rock and roll and country singer/songwriter who may ultimately be best remembered for his many contributions to recordings by high-profile musicians. Growing up all over the West Coast, he played in bands throughout his teenage years, always reserving a soft spot for country and the blues. A move to Los Angeles allowed him to hone his songwriting craft, as well as establish several connections with like-minded musicians that would last the rest of his life. A well-respected musician overall, Jarvis soon became known for his tasteful and creative guitar playing. Soon, he found himself recording tracks for the likes of Frank Black, Lucinda Williams, John Prine and Dwight Yoakam. Jarvis' life and career were unfortunately cut short after he fell victim to colon cancer in 2009.
