Dolly Dots was a girl group from the Netherlands that is best known for its dance/pop hits throughout Europe. Formed in 1979, Dolly Dots was made up of Angela Groothuizen, Anita Heilker, Esther Oosterbeek, Patty Zomer, Ria Brieffies and Angéla Kramers. Although the group was most successful in the Netherlands, it had several hits in Europe including the 1981 Top 50 Billboard Hot Dance Club Play, "P.S." During the peak of its success in 1984, Dolly Dots had its own television series and a number one hit, "Love Me Just a Little Bit More (Totally Hooked On You)." Later the same year, Heilker left the group to start a family, and the six-piece band became a quintet. Dolly Dots traveled to California in 1987 to film the movie Dutch Treat, released later that year, but the movie received mediocre reviews in the Netherlands and was never released in the US due to bad reviews. The group played a farewell show in 1989 after deciding it was time to separate ways, and many of the members went on to have solo careers.
