Allister is a pop punk band from Chicago, Illinois that belongs to the first wave of indie pop punk bands to popularize the genre in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The band's debut studio album Dead Ends and Girlfriends was released to substantial critical and commercial acclaim for only having a budget of $700, and the release would immediately prop Allister up as a pop punk band with some serious international prospects. After following up its debut with two additional albums to middling success, Allister decided to take a hiatus in 2007, only to return to the stage in 2010.
