Steve-O is a stunt man and television personality who rose to attention on the MTV series Jackass. As a main player on the show during its run from 2000 to 2001, he developed a reputation for his lewd, over-the-top stunts and obscene pranks. While the shock tactics of the show proved too much for MTV audiences, Steve-O and his contemporaries such as Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera went on to star in several successful movies based on the series, starting with 2002's Jackass: The Movie. Despite a severe drug problem and subsequent stint in rehab that was captured on the 2009 documentary Steve-O: Demise and Rise, he managed to get sober and has since continued to work with other Jackass alumni while also making appearances in various films and television series.
