Stanley Clarke is a jazz musician and composer from Philadelphia who is best known for his unique approach to playing the bass. Having held down the low-end for the seminal jazz fusion group Return to Forever, Clarke has also maintained a role as bandleader in numerous ensembles. Over the years, Clarke has played with a who's who of the respectable jazz world, making him one of the more revered and respected jazz bassists of all time.
