Salem Al Fakir, an award winning soul/pop act, started recording and writing his first EP in his bedroom before going onto record his debut studio album This Is Who I Am, in 2007. His solo career started as a touring solo violinist at the age of fourteen and he has also worked alongside artists such as Robyn and Snook.
