The Hartford Hawks represent 18 men's and women's teams in four different conferences, the majority of programs play in the America East Conference, however the men's golf team competes in the Big Sky Conference and the equivalent women's team plays the Metro Athletic Atlantic Conference. The men's tennis team plays in the Missouri Valley Conference as the fourth. Throughout the history of the university's athletic program, the Hawks have garnered plenty of conference championships. The men's golf team has twelve titles, the women's soccer team has ten and the men's tennis team has collected six titles. In addition to athletics, the students at Hartford are also academic powerhouses, as they have won the Academic Cup three times with a combined GPA of 3.24.
