The Quinnipiac Bobcats represent the 19 athletic teams of Quinnipac University. Based in Hamden, CT the Bobcats compete in the NCAA Division I as part of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, which they joined in 2013 after a long-time membership in the Northeast conference. Quinnipac University has maintained a solid athletics department which encompass several men's teams and and even more women's teams. The school is notably missing a football team, which has allowed it to focus on other programs such as men's basketball, cross country, tennis and soccer and women's field hockey, rugby, lacrosse and volleyball.
