About
Composer, harpsichordist and organist Francois Couperin was born in Paris in 1668 to the great musical family, The Couperin. Dubbed Le Grand Couperin ("Couperin the Great"). He was trained in music from a young age, continuing to make a life of writing and playing music. His compositions and technical writings greatly influenced generations of musicians that followed, including Bach and Brahms.
