The St. John's Red Storm represents the athletic programs and intercollegiate teams of St. John's University in New York City. Recognized as an NCAA Division I school, the university competes in the Big East Conference. St. John's fields a wide variety of men's and women's sports, including basketball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, golf, volleyball, cross country, fencing and more. The school's men's basketball team has been extremely successful, racking up large numbers of NCAA and NIT tournament appearances. Notable St. John's alumni include Ron Artest (NBA) and Rich Aurilia (MLB).
