Turkish folk-pop singer Ziynet Sali was born and raised in Cyprus and thus sings in both the Greek and Turkish tongues. Beginning her singing career in high school, as a part of the choir for the Ministry of Culture in Northern Cyprus, Ziynet Sali went on to study music in Istanbul as an undergraduate. Since then, the singer has amassed a varied group of fans and established herself as a musical icon.
