About
San Francisco Bay Area-based band Antioquia (pronounced an-tee-OH-kee-ah) was formed in 2004 in Colombia where it developed funky dance beats to go with its psychedelic sound. The band released its debut album Gingolandia in 2008 and its follow-up effort My Piano Ate the Front Page of the San Francisco Chronicle, in 2010. The sophomore album earned Antioquia critical acclaim for its social and political commentary and the child-like wonder of its delivery. The band has toured the US extensively and made stops at festivals such as Floydfest, Lovefest and Gvoovefest.
