Turkish singer/songwriter Teoman, born Fazlı Teoman Yakupoğlu, is known for his acoustic soft rock and romantic ballads. After graduating with a masters in women's studies, Teoman formed the band Mirage in 1986. The band didn't amount to much, however, and Teoman soon broke away to start a solo career. Since then, he has firmly established himself as one of the icons on the Turkish pop-rock scene.
