The post-grunge band Smile Empty Soul emerged out of Santa Clarita, CA in 1998 with a hard alternative rock sound. The three-piece band released its eponymous debut album in 2003 and has steadily released albums since, despite having changed drummers on multiple occasions. Smile Empty Soul released its fifth studio album, 3's in 2012.
