Ovidio Crespo, known professionally as Ovi, is a Cuban rapper and singer specializing in Corrido, Reggaetón, and Latin trap. Born in Cuba, Ovi initially studied at the University of Medical Sciences in Havana but left due to financial constraints and his passion for music. He sold his house and belongings to pursue a career in the U.S., starting in Miami, where he initially struggled. After overcoming drug addiction and relocating to Los Angeles, he joined the "Rancho Humilde" label. Ovi gained prominence with hits like "Se me dio," "Bailen," and "Cuando me ve" with Adriel Favela. His 2020 album Amen and subsequent releases like Buen Viaje and Las 3 Torres have solidified his presence in the Latin trap scene. Known for his collaborations with artists such as Natanael Cano and Carolina Ross, Ovi’s music blends personal experience with his Cuban roots and urban influences.
