Maxwell, born Maxwell Kwabena Schaden on March 23, 1993, in Hamburg, is a prominent German rapper and a key member of the 187 Strassenbande. He gained recognition with the collaborative album Obststand alongside LX, reaching number five on the German charts. Maxwell’s musical journey began with his admiration for Hamburg rappers like Nate57 and Bonez MC. His debut came with feature tracks on Gzuz and Bonez MC's High & Hungry and the 187 Strassenbande's sampler. Maxwell's debut solo album, Kohldampf, released on March 24, 2017, is a three-CD set. His work on the 187 Strassenbande’s Sampler 4 achieved platinum status, topping charts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The sequel, Obststand 2, released on June 28, 2019, also reached number one. His 2022 album No Plan continued his success, charting in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
