LX, born Alexander Gabriel on September 3, 1986, in Hamburg, is a notable German rapper and member of the 187 Strassenbande. His breakthrough came with the collaboration album Obststand, recorded with crew member Maxwell, which peaked at number five in the German charts. LX’s early life was marked by instability, including threats of homelessness, dropping out of various training courses, and drug dealing. He began rapping in 2006 and joined 187 Strassenbande, where he was discovered by Bonez MC. LX’s solo career took off with his debut album Inhale/Exhale (2021), which topped the German charts, followed by Wazabi (2022), which also achieved high chart positions. Despite a 22-month prison sentence, LX has continued to make an impact with his music. He was nominated for "Best Newcomer" at the 2016 Echo Awards and won the Hiphop.de Award for Best Newcomer National in 2015.
