Though the band is still fairly unknown both in its native Spain and beyond, the Barcelona group Capitán does have a select group of devoted fans. The group merges the fairly disparate and thus unusually combined worlds of 1980s-inspired italo-disco with Spanish-language pop, creating something entirely unique. Since forming in 2005, the group has performed at several Barcelona festivals and continues to personalize its sound to be even more uniquely its own.
