Luv Resval, born Léo Mouctar Clément Lesage on January 6, 1997, in Cambrai, France, was a rising French rapper who passed away on October 21, 2022, due to an asthma attack. He started his musical journey in 2014 with freestyles on YouTube, gaining significant attention in 2017 with his mixtape ¥ung Life. Known for his distinctive style that fuses fantasy with social commentary, Luv Resval quickly made a mark in the French rap scene. His debut studio album, Étoile Noire (2021), was well-received, and its reissue, Étoile Noire 2.0 (2022), further solidified his reputation. His posthumous album, Mustafar, released in 2023, was a tribute to his impactful artistry. Despite his short career, Luv Resval's innovative sound and lyrical depth left a lasting impression on the music world.
