The Weekend Dads

Taking a name intended to allude to thirty-somethings who have a tendency to spend their days sitting on the couch with a beer balanced on their stomach, The Weekend Dads translate this laissez-faire attitude into a breed of garage pop punk. The Halifax, Canada four-piece performs short, fast pieces that touch on political topics, but ultimately give into skuzzy punk rock riffs and intentionally sloppy choruses. Formed in 2010, the band has only just started to become known on the Halifax music circuit, but is winning over crowds quickly.
