Iván Cornejo was born in 2004 in Riverside, California who is a regional Mexican music singer-songwriter. A middle school breakup sparked his interest in songwriting. He taught himself guitar by following YouTube tutorials, drawing inspiration from artists like T3R Elemento and Grupo Los de la O. He gained notable success with his debut album Alma Vacía, which climbed to number two on the Billboard Regional Mexican Albums chart and stayed in the top ten for 35 weeks. His subsequent album, Dañado, topped the Regional Mexican Albums chart for 37 weeks. The single "Está Dañada" went viral on TikTok and charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Cornejo's 2023 release "Aquí Te Espero" and the 2024 single "Baby Please" both earned significant chart positions, with "Baby Please" hitting the top 10 on the US Hot Latin Songs chart.
