Growing up in Chicago in the 1960s, Stoney B (aka Michael Stone) became enamored with the blues music his father would play for him. The sounds of Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters in particular had a profound influence on him as he first took up bass guitar at the age of 13. Now, over 40 years later, Stoney B maintains a life devoted to bringing his purist take on electric Chicago blues throughout the country. The singer and guitar player is known for performing long, passionate sets in the rock-tinged vein of another one of his heroes, B.B. King. Joining him on-stage is a revolving cast of friends, session musicians and guest vocalists, making each Stoney B set a unique and upbeat blues experience.
