Maverick City Music, founded by Norman Gyamfi and Jonathan Jay in Atlanta, is a pioneering contemporary worship collective. Since their debut in 2019 with Maverick City, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, they have reshaped the gospel music scene with their unique blend of worship and diversity. They gained widespread acclaim with live albums like Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1 and Part 2, and collaborative projects such as Old Church Basement with Elevation Worship, featuring hits like "Jireh" and "Talking to Jesus." Their 2021 release, Jubilee: Juneteenth Edition, celebrated social justice and achieved commercial success. With 5 Grammy Awards and 4 GMA Dove Awards, Maverick City Music is known for its commitment to inclusivity and impactful worship.
