About
Club Deportivo Águila is hands down, one of the greatest football teams in El Salvador. The club was founded in 1926 and while it took a while for it to find its footing, it soon became one of the most dominating forces in the country. It won its first Primera División Salvadorean title in 1959 and since then it has added many more major titles to its trophy cabinet. In 1976 it achieved success on the continental stage after bagging the prestigious CONCACAF Champions' Cup.
