RBL Posse was a West Coast rap group formed in the mid-1980s by Black C and Mr. Cee. The group released their debut album, “Lesson to be Learned,” in 1992 on In-a-Minute Records. The album featured the hit single “Don’t Give Me No Bammer Weed” and showcased the group’s gritty lyrics and hardcore beats. RBL Posse quickly gained a reputation as one of the pioneers of Bay Area rap, known for their raw and unapologetic style. Following the success of their debut album, RBL Posse went on to release several more albums, including “Ruthless by Law” in 1994 and “An Eye for an Eye” in 1997. Despite facing tragedy with the murder of member Mr. Cee in 1996, RBL Posse continued to make music and solidify their status as legends in the rap game. Their influence can still be felt in the West Coast rap scene today.
