Joaquinha Lerena de la Riva, born October 24, 1994, in Mar del Plata, Argentina, professionally known as La Joaqui, is an influential Argentine singer and songwriter. She grew up in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, and returned to Argentina as a teenager. La Joaqui first gained recognition in the rap scene by reaching the semi-finals in the Red Bull Batalla de Gallos freestyle battle in 2014 and 2015. Her debut album, The Untamed (2019), showcased her unique style. The 2022 EP Barbie Copilot featured the hit "Dos Besitos," while her 2023 track "Muñecas" with Tini and Steve Aoki elevated her to international fame. La Joaqui's dynamic music blends rap with Latin influences, making her a notable figure in the genre.
