Leith Ross, a Canadian indie rock artist based in Winnipeg, made waves with their 2020 debut EP Motherwell. After studying at Humber College, Ross gained prominence on TikTok with the viral hit "We'll Never Have Sex," which earned over 41 million streams. Signed to Interscope and Republic Records in 2022, they’ve toured with Lord Huron, Andy Shauf, and Helena Deland, and won the inaugural John Prine Songwriter Fellowship. Their debut album, To Learn (2023), showcased introspective indie folk, earning a Juno nomination for Alternative Album of the Year. Raised in Manotick, Ontario, Ross is of Scottish descent and identifies as non-binary and queer. Their music, influenced by artists like Johnny Cash and Phoebe Bridgers, explores themes of queerness, anxiety, and relationships.
