Robert Coleman Thomas, born March 6, 1999, known professionally as Rob49, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. Growing up in the Iberville Projects and the 4th and 9th wards, he experienced a challenging childhood marked by Hurricane Katrina and familial struggles. Raised primarily by his mother, Rob49 joined the National Guard and briefly attended Southern University before pursuing music. He began his career in 2020 with his debut mixtape 4our the World. Rob49 gained prominence with his 2023 guest appearance on Travis Scott's "Topia Twins," which peaked in the Billboard Hot 100's top 20. His discography includes mixtapes like 4GOD (2021) and 4GOD II (2023), featuring collaborations with notable artists such as Birdman, Lil Baby, and Trippie Redd. Rob49 was also involved in a Miami shooting incident in January 2023.
