VREID is a Norwegian metal band that was formed in 2004 by musicians who were looking to blend a classic rock sonic aesthetic into a more contemporary metal sound. With its unique sound that harks back to the glory days of vintage metal, when bands like Motorhead and Hawkwind were popular, many prominent critics have referred to the band's unique black metal-meets-rock sound as "black 'n' roll."
