Svavar Knutur is an Icelandic singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who blends elements of traditional Scandinavian folk with modern alternative rock leanings to create a distinctive style of music. Knútur released his debut album, Kvöldvaka, in 2010 and followed it up quickly with his sophomore effort, Amma, in 2011.
