About
Gatineau Olympiques is a junior ice hockey team that competes in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The team was founded in 1969 as Hull Hawks but was rechristened as Gatineau Olympiques in 2003. One of the toughest teams in the league, it has several Memorial Cup and QMJHL Championships to its credit. It has also earned the reputation for being a springboard for world class talent, having kicked off the careers of superstars such as Martin Gelinas, José Théodore and Luc Robitaille.
