Being one of Spain's most successful women's football clubs, there isn't much that FC Barcelona Femení hasn't conquered. The club was established in 1988 as Club Femení Barcelona and since then it has been one of the league's teams to beat. In 1994 it won its first major trophy - the Copa de la Reina. It won the league for the first time in its history in 2012 and successfully defended its title the following season. 2013 was also the year when it bagged its first ever league and cup double. Its phenomenal league form would continue for the next two years and in 2015 it won its fourth back-to-back league title, becoming the first team to do so. After breaking records in Spain, it set its sights upon the one trophy that was missing from its collection - the UEFA Women's Champions League. That feat was achieved in 2021 when it beat Chelsea F.C. Women in the finals to become champions of Europe for the first time.
