Erol Evgin is one of the most popular Turkish pop singers of his generation. Initially intending to go into architecture, Evgin existed University with a fine arts degree only to decide he wanted to go into show business. By the mid 70s, Evgin was acting in television and releasing successful albums. Though his primary audience today is made up of the elderly, who enjoy reminiscing on their youth, Evgin still does have a solid fan base and performs regularly.
