One of the first rappers to rap entirely in the Icelandic language, Blazroca began his career with his brother Sesar A as the hip-hop duo Sækópah in the 1990s. While hip-hop had recently come to Iceland through the likes of the Beastie Boys, and many Icelandic rappers who rapped in English appeared on the scene, Sækópah brought something entirely unique to the country's hip-hop scene. Since then Blazroca has focused primarily on a solo career and has had several successful singles. While Blazroca's music closely follows the trends and styles of American hip-hop, its popularity has been contained primarily to Iceland.
