French-Canadian guitarist Antoine Dufour has become known worldwide for his highly complex playing skills that merge modern folk with classical guitar. Dufour picked up the guitar at age 15 and immediately began devoting all of his time to the instrument, going on to place in numerous respected competitions, including 2006's International Finger Style Guitar Championship. While listening to Dufour's music is certainly enjoyable, it is his live shows that have amassed the most amount of acclaim, as his fast-paced fingers and intricate movements captivate audiences.
