After studying at the State Conservatory of Turkish Music, Askin Nur Yengi managed to land a gig as a backing vocalist for Sezen Aksu's band. Her album Sevgiliye sold two million copies in 1990--earning her a prestigious status on the Turkish music scene, which she still enjoys today.
