Garage-folk band The Sandwitches was formed by Grace Cooper and Heidi Alexander in San Francisco in 2008. A year later it released its first album, How To Make Ambient Sadcake, whose music is as eerie and intriguing as the title. The band was an integral part of the San Francisco indie rock scene and its vocals have been featured on several other musicians recordings. Our Toast, its last and final album released in 2015, was very well-received while many artists and fans were saddened by the band's break up.
