Jari Sillanpää is a Finnish artist who rose suddenly to fame after winning the Finnish “Tangokuningas” competition in 1995. He began his career singing Finnish tangos but has moved more towards pop music. He performs regularly on some of the biggest stages in Finland, drawing crowds who know the words to his songs by heart.
