After growing up on their parents Hendrix and Zappa-heavy record collections, the four Findlay sisters, all one year apart in age, began playing music together in a shed on their family's acreage outside of Melbourne, when the youngest was just 12 and the eldest 15. A few years later, after donning the name Stonefield, the sisters developed a hard-edged psych-rock style that won the band a local songwriting contest for unsigned band. This hit track led Stonefield to gain a sizable fan base in Australia and the UK, grabbing spots playing at festivals like Glastonbury and selling out headline shows.
