Forged by producing and songwriting stalwart Dennis Dowlut--who was sought out to mix and produce for artists ranging from Elton John to Diesel to Macy Gray--Electric Empire isn't short of experience. The Melbourne trio came about in 2009 when Dowlut decided it was time to start making his own music, and after finding two like-minded musicians, Electric Empire began blending classic Motown with modern funk and jazz, a style the group calls "soul searching" music. Immediately landing in the limelight, Electric Empire has fans around the world and has been asked to perform at several respected festivals and parties.
