noBody is the final installment of a three-part dance trilogy created by one of the most prominent names in contemporary dance choreography, Sasha Waltz. The first of the three works was Körper, a portrayal of the human body, followed by S, an examination of sensuality and the origins of life. noBody completes the study of the human body through a portrayal of the human emotions, mortality, and metaphysical dimensions. In her piece, which has been praised for its poetic finesse, inspiring scenography and imaginative choreography, Waltz attempts to illuminate spirituality, the non-physical aspects of being human, and asks the question: what is immortal in us?
