From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Majeure is an electronic musician half of the krautrock duo Zombi who combines analogue synthesizers and a drum set to create a hypnotizing mix of acoustic and electronic trance music. Born A.E. Paterra, Majeure brings cinematic elements of sci-fi to disco. His 2009 debut album Timespan is a three-part thriller carefully calculated to slow time down before catching it up to speed. By layering synthesizers, placing steady beats over looping rhythms and controlling the use of bass, Majeure has become a household name for the Temporary Residence Limited label and is a refreshing addition to the electronic music scene.
