Finland has proved to be an extremely fertile breeding ground for metal bands. Case in point: Black Sun Aeon is a side project of Tuomas Saukkonen, who is a guitarist of the band called Before the Dawn. Black Sun Aeon plays very powerful, dark doom and death metal. Two of their albums met with success in Finland and Europe, Darkness Walks Beside Me, in 2009, and Routa in 2010.
